Every time I open a bridal magazine there is a ad for guests favors. Food seems to be the most popular. They can print them with your names on them or in your wedding colors. They can wrap them in pretty paper or beautiful boxes. We have had candy bars. By bars I mean tables with pretty glass jars filled with different candy, and the guests can help themselves to any candy they want . Chocolates with your pictures on the wrapper,fortune cookies with your name and wedding date as the fortune.Special cookies made by grandma with your initials on them. Should I stop? OK, the reason for this blog is the sanitary issue of the favors.Prepared or boxed edible gifts will get taken and eaten by your guests, but a basket or jar filled with candy that you can help yourself to never goes over very good. Who wants to eat a treat from a container that everyone has had their hands on? Hand sanitizer with your names on the bottle, now there is a gift for your guests that they will all use.
